Why Drinking Water Is So Important

How-can-you-conserve-water-at-homeOkay, I know im beating a dead horse here, but we all need to drink more water. I am going to explain why. About 65 to 70 percent of our bodies are  water. Our brains consist of 75% water, lungs 83%, bones 31%, kidney 79%, blood 90%, skin 64%, muscle 79%, and liver is made up of 79% water. The above percentages really put into perspective how much water our body really needs.

The amount of water we need varies depending on what source you read. But lets just stick with the 9 to 16 cups of water a day. Water can be lost through numerous ways; urination, bleeding, breathing, sweating, and so forth.

How does water help us? Water helps with weight loss, cleansing of the body, Prevents Cramps & Sprains, heart health, water can give us energy, water can cure headaches, healthy skin…helps get rid of skin impurities, digestive problems, decrease the risk of cancer. All of the cells and organs of the body need water to function, water lubricates joints, protects the spinal cord and sensitive tissue, and regulates body temperature.

Water is essential for kidneys to function. Without the proper amount of water we can get urinary tract infections, kidney stones, and increases the chances of having kidney disease. So what are you waiting for, Get a big glass of water and start chugging, you will feel so much better.

A doctor friend of the family said that a lot of problems can be solved by drinking the right amount of water. Dehydration is very very common. If you don’t like the taste of water, put some crystal light in it, lemon, or lime. There are tons of ways to jazz up your water.
